CartCalculator (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the CartCalculator mobile applications (iOS and Android) and website (collectively, the “App”).

Information We Collect
Account and profile information
When you create an account, we may collect:
- Email address (authentication and account recovery)
- Name or display name
- Country selection (for currency and display preferences)
- Sign-in provider details if you use Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple (such as email and name, as permitted by that provider)
Shopping and app data
To provide CartCalculator’s features, we collect:
- Stores you create
- Shopping lists and cart items
- Prices, quantities, budgets, and shopping session history
- Optional receipt images you choose to upload
- Onboarding answers and in-app preferences (such as currency)
- Subscription status (plan type, start/expiry related to premium access)
Device and usage information
- Device type and operating system
- App version and basic usage/diagnostic information
- Crash and error logs needed to keep the App reliable
Payment and subscription information
We do not store your full card numbers or bank credentials in CartCalculator.
- iOS: Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through In-App Purchase. Apple handles payment details under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Android: Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles payment details under Google’s privacy policy.
- Subscription management helper: We use RevenueCat to help verify purchases, restore entitlements, and sync subscription status with your account.
- Web: Where available, website payments may be processed by Paystack. Paystack handles payment details under Paystack’s privacy policy.
We may store limited subscription metadata (for example plan type and whether premium is active) so the App can unlock the correct features.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide shopping calculator, list, history, budget, and price-tracking features
- Authenticate your account and keep it secure
- Process, restore, and manage subscriptions and premium access
- Personalize currency and country-related display
- Improve the App, fix bugs, and monitor reliability
- Respond to support requests and important account or subscription notices
- Prevent fraud and abuse
How We Share Your Information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App, and only as needed for those services:
- Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, cloud database, and related infrastructure
- RevenueCat — purchase verification, entitlements, and subscription status syncing on mobile
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store billing on iOS
- Google — Google Sign-In and Google Play Billing on Android (and Google Sign-In where offered)
- Paystack — payment processing for supported web purchases
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your shopping lists for advertising. We do not use your data to show third-party ads in the App.
Data Storage and Security
- Data in transit is protected with HTTPS where supported
- Account and shopping data are stored using Firebase services with access controls tied to your signed-in account
- Only you (and systems acting on your behalf to provide the App) should be able to access your account data
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We take reasonable measures, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
Access and updates
You can update many preferences in the App (for example country/currency settings) and manage your shopping data while signed in.
Account deletion
You can delete your account in the App under Settings → Delete Account.
When you delete your account, we remove associated personal and shopping data from our systems within 30 days, except where we must retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting reasons. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the App, email cartcalculator@gmail.com from the address on your account and request deletion. We will verify ownership and process the request.
Subscriptions
Mobile subscriptions are managed through Apple or Google:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, or use the manage-subscription option in CartCalculator Settings
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or use the manage-subscription option in CartCalculator Settings
Canceling stops future renewals according to Apple/Google rules. Access typically continues until the end of the paid period already purchased.

Children’s Privacy
CartCalculator is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
International Users
Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate (including facilities used by Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, and Paystack). By using the App, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.
Data Retention
We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the App. After account deletion, we remove associated data within 30 days unless a longer retention period is required by law or needed for legitimate security/fraud/accounting purposes.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Analytics and Product Improvement
We use analytics tools to understand how CartCalculator is used and to improve the product. This includes the website and our iOS and Android apps.
Mixpanel
We use Mixpanel, a third-party analytics service, to collect information about how you interact with CartCalculator. This may include:
- App and website usage events (for example, when you sign up or save a shopping session)
- Device and platform information (such as whether you are on web, iOS, or Android)
- A unique user identifier linked to your account after you sign in
- Country or similar preference information you provide during signup

Session Replay
We may also use Mixpanel Session Replay, which records a visual replay of how you use CartCalculator (similar to watching a screen recording of the app or website interface).
Session replays may include on-screen content related to shopping activity, such as store names, cart items, quantities, prices, and totals you enter while using the app. Certain sensitive fields (such as password fields) are masked by the analytics provider.
We use this information to find bugs, improve usability, and make CartCalculator better — not to sell your personal information.
Consent on the Website
On the web version of CartCalculator, you may see a short notice asking for permission to use optional analytics. If you choose Not now, we will not enable Mixpanel analytics or session replay for that browser until you later allow it. If you choose OK, analytics and session replay may run on that browser.
iOS and Android Apps
In our iOS and Android apps, analytics and session replay may run automatically so we can improve the product. If you do not want this type of data collection, you may stop using the apps or contact us to request deletion of your account and associated data where applicable.
What We Do Not Intend to Collect via Analytics
- We do not ask analytics tools to record your account password
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their advertising
Your Choices
- Website: You can decline optional analytics when prompted. Clearing site data for cartcalculator.app may reset that choice so the notice appears again.
- Account deletion: You may delete your account from within the app (where available) or by contacting us.
